Energy transition, nature-base solutions, cities and local actions that guided discussions were the three thematic sessions of the Africa Climate week which ended Friday, 22nd march 2019. At the closing ceremony leaded by Luis Alfonso de Alba, the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy for the UN Climate Action Summit, the headline takeaways of these thematic have been presented, with different regards to solve climate change on the Continent.
On nature-base solutions, Djatougbe Rolande AZIAKA who is africa Representative at UNCCDcso and President of Togo Welfare and Director of EcoConscience TV called for the creation of green jobs for everybody, mainly for youths.
At the end of the session the UNSG’s Special Envoy for the UN Climate Action Summit, made the key recommendations.
